Scott's Story
Life
I just picked up some boxes from my parent's house that had, among other things, my old yearbooks and such. It prompted me to post a brief word here since I found myself wondering how so many of the kids I knew 12 years ago were doing.
I went to Brigham Young University in the Fall of 1995 and basically tried to keep my head above water--it was a big jump from high school academics.
In 1996 I began a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to Rostov-na-Donu, Russia.
From 1998-2001 I completed my BS in zoology/molecular biology at BYU.

In 2004 I began active service in the Navy Dental Corps and we moved to Okinawa, Japan. I served there for three years. Coincidentally, I happened to serve with another dental officer who was a former classmate and friend from my childhood, Maryjoyce (Joyce) Leynes. What are the odds?! In Okinawa, Whitney and I added 2 more children to our family: Sadie (2005) and Gordon (2006).
In August 2007 we moved back to Fallon, NV, where I'm practicing general dentistry.
UPDATE:
Weve added 2 more boys to our family, Redd and Henry. We left Fallon in June 2009 for Los Angeles where I'm a postdoctoral resident in endodontics (root canal specialist) at the University of Southern California and will be done here in May 2011....will update then....
