Scott's Story
I have been married for 36 years to my wife Dianna who I met in 1982 when I was working at the Piedmont Cinema down on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland (she was a projectionist and I was an usher). I actually started working at the Piedmont the summer after graduation. We lived in Oakland until 1989 at which time we moved to Ceres, CA in the Central Valley. While we were living there our two children were born (one girl and one boy). In 1998 we moved to Southern California and settled in Castaic (five minutes north of Six Flags Magic Mountain), which is where we are still living today.
After working at the Piedmont Cinema, I worked in video retail from 1984 thru 1991. This started at a small chain of stores called Video Playhouse on Piedmont Avenue (which was eventually bought out by Front Row Video) in Oakland, continued at Blockbuster Video in San Leandro and ended at Blockbuster Video in Modesto, CA.
In 1991 I began a new career as a commercial video editor for a small production company called A-Z Video in Modesto. I worked there for several years, then moved over to Post Newsweek Cable in 1994 where I became a commercial producer (writing, shooting and editing :30 and :60 commercials). I was also tapped to do voice overs for some of the spots by other producers as well as acting in some of them. The company was renamed Cable ONE in 1997.
In 1998 I started working as an Architect/Engineer (technical support, a big departure from commercial work!) for TD Waterhouse in Beverly Hills. This was the impetus for our move to Southern California. During this time I was also running the sound and lights for the ACME Comedy Theatre in Hollywood (a position which ended in 2005). Following a merger between TD Waterhouse and Ameritrade I was downsized in March of 2007.

rking part time at Six Flags Magic Mountain in the Entertainment dept in April of 2008, doing character work and as a stage technician/performer for the Batman Begins Stunt Show (its final season). This is a position I still hold. I was working full time for a company called Influxis in Santa Clarita and also as an independent contractor which ended in 2011. Currently I work at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank as a General Clerk/Shift Lead..
During the majority of this time I have also been acting. In Modesto I did voice work and acted in commercials (as previously mentioned). I was also part of a sketch comedy group called C.I.A. We had a television show that ran locally and several of our sketches were also featured on Comedy Central. After moving to Southern California I obtained my SAG card. In addition to the tech work at ACME I would also occasionally perform. I've done a couple of plays in Hollywood, been in a variety of independent films, a Sci-Fi pilot, a commercial for Snickers Cruncher, and a radio style series on CD. If you happen to visit Six Flags Magic Mountain and you see Bugs, Sylvester, Wile E. Coyote, or Daffy, the person taking the photo for you just might be me.
UPDATE: The feature film "Dances with Werewolves" is available to stream on Amazon and several other streaming services. Another film I did several years ago is now available to stream from the Lot W Films website (lotwfilms.wordpress.com) or on YouTube. It is called "it's Not that Simple" and is a faith based comedy. I recently finished production on a feature film called Thieves which should be coming out later this year. If anyone is interested in finding out more about what is happening with these or any other projects I'm working on, you can 'like' my acting Facebook page. Just do a search for Scott R. Wright
