Scott's Story

Life Well hello to all. I am currently still in the area, living in Hummelstown. After many toils and struggles, I graduated from Penn State/Harrisburg in the spring of 2005 (only a little later than planned). I worked at Central Dauphin High School for one year (I know...I know...but it got my foot in the door). But, I became a member of the faculty at Lower Dauphin High School in August of 2006 as an English teacher. I have found a home at LD and feel that I am a part of something in the school and community. Aside from playing baseball professionally (stupid shoulder), teaching was the only other thing I ever wanted to do. I'm quite content with my career choice and where I ended up. Lower Dauphin is a small utopia compared to some schools, so it was a good move. I married a wonderful lass on October 12, 2002. She's a nurse at t...Expand for more
he Hershey Med. Center. Ironically, I met her in a bar I used to work at (which I swore I wouldn't let happen). But looking back, I have no qualms about breaking that one persoanl oath. Our "children" are in the form of two black labs...Ziggy and Stymie. Parenthood is something we both look forward to, but we're in no real hurry at this point. Other than that I have tried my hardest to keep life simple and care free and feel I have done well with everything during my life after high school. I am still trying not to truly "grow up", but at 31, I've found a nice mix between the responsibilities of adulthood and having fun. I hope that this finds everyone else doing well and that you have all found happiness in this chaotic world we live in. Til later, Yodes
