Life
Wow, I guess It's been a while since I updated this...reach me directly at cameron dot byrd at cox dot net (Classmates doesn't let members post e-mail addresses, so some assembly of that address above is required).
Married in 1991, I have 3 children; Reed, 3/96, Talya, 7/03, and Evelyn, 4/05. I finished my B.A. degree in Deaf Studies at Cal State Northridge, my MBA at Western Governors University, and now work in human resources for Laureate Education, Inc., currently at their NewSchool of Architecture + Design in San Diego. I always love to hear from old school friends (or acquaintances), so drop me a line any time.
School
Life was really different in High School, especially my life. I'm glad to have had the experiences I had, but if I had it all to do over again, I would have listened to my family and best teachers more and would have gotten myself together much earlier on. And I wouldn't have been such a jerk to the people I mistreated. Then again, without all that, maybe I wouldn't have turned out to be the guy I am now.

College
I started college way too late! I did the ever-popular "I want to see the world before I take on more school". What a dope. I finally went back to school, out of necessity, in '96. Yes, I think I got much more out of college at 27 than I would have at 18. But being 30 when I finally graduated, with a kid and a wife and all the studying and classes and such, that sucked. I'm glad to have gotten through it, though. Update: When I graduated in 2000, I promised my wife I'd start a master's degree within 10 years. Fast-forward to December 1, 2011: I graduated from Western Governors University with an MBA focusing on organizational management and strategy.
Workplace
I started working in human resources (payroll) in my senior year of high school. I moved on from there to various "entry-level" jobs that included recruiting and marketing positions. I have been working in human resources management positions since finishing my B.A. in 2000, and received my SPHR in 2006.
