Shana's Story
Life
Lately I have been busy working and just with life in general. One of my jobs is medical transcription for the State Police Medical Examiner's Office (morgue) doing death investigation/autopsy reports - morbid, I know - but I actually do enjoy it for the most part. Every day is different for sure. My second job is to bartend/cocktail at a "coyote ugly" kind of bar. Surprising to anyone who ever saw my attempts at dancing when I was in school, I'm sure. But I give it my best because you've gotta love any job where you wear a cowboy hat :) And also I don't know anywhere else that has firefighter auctions where I get in for free. Even though I'm not really a cowboy, I really do love that bar.
The last thing I am doing right now is painting pictures for a children's book I just wrote. I don't have any idea...Expand for more
when it will be done because I'm just trying to squeeze it in between work and family right now. No matter where I end up going with it, it's just something I have always wanted to do.
As far as boys go, I got married at 18 - mistake - but can't say I regret it because of my sweet 3-year-old daughter. The timing of the split with my ex led me to meet my boyfriend, fresh out of the Marine Corps. We have been together for almost two years now. For every bad thing that has happened in my life, something incredible has taken its place so I really can't complain.
Other than that, I'm just enjoying life, traveling when I can and crossing things off my "Before I Die List." I just got to cross off seeing fireflies. I hope everybody else is doing well. Feel free to e-mail me - I would love to hear from you! Shana
