Shandi's Story

Wow, where to start! I'll try to split this up so it's easier to read... I got married in July 1994 and my daughter Jaci was born in October 1994. We lived in Moscow and I worked full-time until 1997 when I decided I needed to go to college. So we moved to Genesee because it's a nice halfway point between Lewiston and Moscow. I started at LCSC in the fall of 1997. I went to school full-time from 1997 to 1999. At first I was in the Nursing program, then I changed to the Administrative Secretary Program and ended up liking accounting so much that I switched to the Bookkeeping program. Unfortunately I never finished because I found a full time job doing Accounts Payable, Payroll and Human Resources for what used to be Latah Health Services. Then we moved back to Moscow. I worked there from 1999 to 2003. We moved to Lewiston in 2003 and I did payroll for the Clarkston School District for awhile and then for a company that does payroll and human resources for several other companies. I started working for DeAtley Crushing Company in 2005 and I absolutley love my job! I do payroll, benefits administration, and workers compensation stuff. It's a dream job! I make a decent wage and I really enjoy the people I work with. I married my highschool sweetheart. Some of you may know who I'm talking about. ...Expand for more
We are currently in the procress of getting a divorce. Sad but true. We've been married for a long time, 14 years to be exact. Together for 18 years. But, life happens and you have to move on. UPDATE: As some of you may know, my husband passed away on August 2, 2008. Our divorce was not yet finalized and who knows if it ever would have been. He was such a huge part of who I am that I could never push him out of my life completely. Afterall, I spent more of my life WITH him than WITHOUT him. Yes, we had our problems, but we were working on them slowly. Apparently not fast enough for him though. I know that I did not make him do what he did. It was his choice. If I was responsible for his life, this never would have happend. As adults we are responsible for our own lives and happiness. We need to make sure we do not sacrifice our OWN happiness for someone else's. That is the beginning of the end. If you're not happy, how can you expect to make or keep someone else happy? Don't forget about yourself! To everyone who reads this: Don't count on tomorrows because they may never come. Don't live with regret or a bunch of woulda-shoulda-coulda's. Check out MySpace!
