Life Hello to all!! Was retired in May 2000; picture on announcement was back then - gentlemen with me is a good friend - Sulaiman Al-Soomali. Have worked international for better part of the career; been in Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management for over 40 years and lovin' it. As we know, myself and a couple of others got booted by Father Burns; years later, Father Bates gave me a graduation letter when we were doing the first big reunion (the 25 year reunion) in '72; sister Maureen (nee Davis) Kessig was Social Chair. Without graduating, joined the RCAF, got a commission from the ranks; was on the the '67 Canadian Forces Show - Gymnastic Display Team, Clown Team, Administration Team, etc. - had the greatest time of me life!! Got out early to help Dad and went to Niagara - graduated, met now wife, got married. Went into isolation job in Northern Saskatchewan - Uranium Mine and Process Plant - completed and went to Zaire for a Copper Mine and Process Plant - got evacuated; worked on the then Texaco Refinery as Office Engineer, went to Algeria for largest LNG Plant in world (stayed with Bechtel) for 5 years (got sent to Jubail in early days and returned to Algeria) - did a first tour at Suncor; then to Ottawa for more world travel with Combustion Engineer as Material Manager and then in '91 got called by Bechtel and came to Kuwait for the longterm; did a few visits to Iraq but money is not worth getting shot at. All of above with growing family in tow; Denyse is from Kapuskasing, ON and her and Meg Belcastro chat on that occassionally. Met her at Niagara and on getting married, asked where we might live - didn't know then and don't know now!! But we hang our hats and call it home. Clink didn't go to school in Kuwait as he was in Carlton and later Colorado School of Mines for his Masters in Geology - he's travelling to and is now in Northern Quebec. ...Expand for more
