Shane's Story
Well...I graduated from high school and went straight to Americorps after a summer of most excellent debauchery. I got to do a lot of different things and see a lot of different places in Americorps...it was fun. After I got out I came back to West Hartford and worked a bunch of dead end jobs up tp and including selling womens shoes at the mall (yup...Al Bundy in the house). I also started to get into a bit of trouble. I figured I needed a change of location and a bit of discipline so I joined the U.S. Army. After a bit of boot camp, some technical training, a lot of field time, more than my share of crap...Expand for more
details, and a couple of wars, I decided the military was no longer for me. This took about 8 years and a fair amount of getting shot at. I have traded bullets and bombs for books and am now going to college finally after all this time. The little boy in the photo is one of my twin nephews. I also have a five year old niece and one of undetermined sex on the way (sis is a real baby factory). I try to split my time between school, Family, friends and starbucks.
