Shannon's Story
Life
I married Scott Burns from Lake Orion in 1992. We have 2 wonderful boys. We just built a new home in Oxford in 1999. We've owned Forest Green Lawn Services, Inc. since 1997.
School
In school Don Ward was my biggest crush of course. I dated him all thru high school.
Sometimes I really wish that I could go back to school because then we wouldn't have to worry about paying bills, working, and have all the responsiblities.
I hung around Donna Downs all thru school. We were always together. I couldn't name just one crazy, funny thing that we did because we had so many. Like puddles...(inside joke) We had fun no matter what we did. I miss that allot.
Workplace
I worked at McDonalds as a staff manager right out of school. I worked there until I had our first son Josh and he was about 2 when I quit because I always worked nights.

Toyota in Bloomfield for about 9 months as a cashier and office work. Business was hurting so they laid me off.
After Mel Farr I went to work for Allen-Bradley(now Rockwell Automation). I worked there for about 4 years. I had two people that I worked for strickly. Answering phones, booking business trips, and typing up any presentations or work that needed to be done. On top of that I also did billing, A/R issues and some stuff for our training department. My first year there I lowered their A/R issues by $250,000.00. I ended up leaving after I had our second son David in 1998.
A few years before I quit Rockwell my husband Scott had bought a cutting service from his father so after I had David it was easy to quit my job. We ran the cutting for a few years and then started up fertilizing. In 2004 we sold the cutting to a friend and then just strickly did fertilizing.
