Shannon's Story
Life
After high school, I went on to Germanna but dropped out after getting engaged to an older guy. We lived together for two years before we had a child. To make a long story short, we never married and he hasn't been a part of our life every since. My son is now 6 years old and we are doing good. Living life day by day and making the best of it. School
Going back to college at Strayer University. I'm a junior now working on a Bachelor's Degree in the Science of Accounting with a minor in Computers. I HATE going but I do it. I have to! Workplace
I've worked in more places then I have wanted to. Though, I am fortunate enough to say I have never worked for a fast food place. No offense, but I can't stoop that low just to have a job. Most of the places I've worked are local companies in Fredericksburg. My position was always in the office doing something related to administrative or accounting work. Hence me going back to college for my degree in accounting. Right now I work for a local commercial contractor located in Downtown Fredericksburg. I've been here going on 3 years now and I enjoy working for this company. I'll be here for many more years to come if they want to keep me and the money is right.
