Shannon's Story

Life After high school, I moved to Hawaii for nine years. While there, I caused lots of trouble, but I did at least earn a degree or so. I met lots of good people and friends there and learned more than I ever thought I wanted to know about animals and newspapers. I have lots of fond memories of karaoke parties there. When I had a chance to escape the intoxicating paradise of Hawaii, I hopped aboard an eastbound airplane and had them kick me out over Milwaukee. Since I have only just begun to cause trouble in this state, I decided to sit down and write a couple of books. Don't worry ... only some of you are charcters in them. I am, however, accepting bribes to put others in. I have nothing published yet, but I keep hoping... College College was lots of hard fun. Many of you may recall that when it came to my classes, I was virtually invisible, but if you ever needed to find me all you had to do was stop by Ke Kalahea's office. Other people on campus would swear I never left Jenny's office -- for the record that was only in the weeks leading up to the International Nites. formers both then and now. I still cherish the memories of those evenings. Workplace Since graduating from high school, my jobs have been as varied in their locale as they have been in their field. There was of course the vet clinic, which was fun and had lots of perks (or should I say pups?), but after awhile I got sick of constantly smelling like bleach (although my brother's cat loved the bleach). Then I did a short stint working for then-Chancellor Perrin, where I had fun causing trouble for all. After that, I worked in Honolulu for a year selling pet food wholesale. My own goals and ambitions were sidetracked in 1998, when my stepfather became very ill and I had to care for him, so I went back to school to cause more trouble by working for the paper again. Then in 2000, I moved back to Wisconsin and started working for the Oconomowoc Enterprise and Waukesha Freeman as a reporter, where the trouble I caused was virtually limitless. In 2003, my circumstances changed and I started working for First Bank Financial Centre in Oconomowoc. I tell you it is much harder to cause trouble there, but I love the work I do and my co-workers.
