Shannon's Story
I graduated from JHS in 1985 and stayed in the Seattle area for a little over a year after that, working full time as a secretary in Bellevue. I moved back down South where all of my family is the end of 1986. I spent time in New Orleans and Jackson, MS. In Jackson I met and married my husband Todd in 1991. We moved to Florida in 1992 (Panama City), then moved to Tallahassee in 1993 where we've been ever since! The greatest addition to my life came in 1998 with the birth of my wonderful son, Quinn. He's in high school now and is very into the Halo games and XBox live and enjoys playing his cello. We have two dogs (both are rescues and mixed breeds) and two birds, a cockateil and an African Grey parrot. I"ve done a little bit of everything professionally over the years. l-time in a law firm in downtown Tallahassee as a legal assistant as well. It is a great job with awesome people and I'm learning yet another new set of skills! My husband Todd is self-employed and runs a lawn care business which he has done for a number of years after leaving a lengthy career in retail with Lowe's & Home Depot. My mom lives here in Tallahassee and Todd's parents and his brother and sister-in-law and my niece are in Destin, FL which is about 2.5 hours away. We LOVE living in sunny Florida, I can't imagine being anywhere else. We are very involved in our son's activities and also in our church. I have many wonderful friends that I enjoy spending time with. I am still very close to my "BFF" from JHS, Lori (Adams) Ellis, she still lives in the Seattle area.
