Shannon's Story

I'm a mom to three kids. I went to South Point High School. I'm married and have been with my husband for fourteen years. We met the summer before high school. I love being around him and my kids most of the time. Everyone needs some down time every now an then. Would like to talk to some old friends. Curious about how they ended up living their lives. I go to church and if you knew me back then it probably seems like quite a jump. But I wouldn't have it any other way! I love the Lord and we try our best to live for Him everyday. I always wanted to be a lawyer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were WRONG!. I love just to sit down and read my bile or surf the web. It's much better than t.v. This way you control what you watch. In high school I ran away with my husband, of course he wasn't my husband at the time. This was a crazy time in my life. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have patience, hospitality, and a big smile to be able to deal with the day-to-day. Jesus would have to be my hero. Who else do you that would die for you (and did in fact go through with it)? I lived many different places. I am currently buying a house. I used to think I was a Christian but I did not live right. Now that I have been truely saved it amazes me everyday the great love and mercy of the Lord. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel my kitchen and add on a bedroom. My dream home would be a log cabin. Kid...Expand for more
s are never what you think they are or what you think they will be. They always surprise you and they are the most precious gift I could have ever been given! If I could pick one teacher it would have to be Mrs. Rice. I had her three years in a row and really bonded with her. She was more like an aunt instead of a teacher. If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to church, then spend the rest on paying off our home, putting some aside for my kids' college funds and retirement. Exactly where I am at and who I am with is where I am the happiest. I couldn't do it without the Lord in my heart. My current age is 29. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old. I was so completely wrong. I am hoping to one day run my husband's business with him, once his dad retires. I share my home with my husband and kids, which I find such a blessing. I wouldn't do anything differently. The mistakes I made in the past are what has made me who I am today. If I never made any mistakes I would have never realized that I needed the Lord. Everyone would probably be surprised at how much weight I've gained and the fact that I am a Christian now. My first job was at Waffle House, where I got paid ? to waitress. What I remember most about it is I only worked there for one day.. The most memorable childhood story would probably have to be where my brother put fish on one of my friend's porch while they were not at home! What a sight to come home to! It was awful!
