Sharen's Story
Life
I went to North Van High (from Ridgeway Elementary) for grades 8 - 10 & transfered to Argyle for grades 11 & 12, finishing in 1974. It was my husband, Alan, that went to Sutherland (as did my brother Tom) not me. They're both 3 yrs older than I am.
Married to Alan Beer since 1981. Our daughter, Teigan, was born in 1980, 1st son, Luke, in 1985 & 2nd son, Cody, in 1986. Our Grandson, Nicholas, was born in April 2004.Teigan married Jason Carruthers (yup... Nic's Daddy) on March 31st, 2007 and our Granddaughter, Sarah, was born in July 2007.
**I joined the WYNYARD, SK school community because Alan's Mom was from there. Her maiden name was GARGOL. She passes away when he was about 7 or 8 (1960? 1...Expand for more
961?) I thought we might find some family members there. Coincidentally, MY Mom was born in the railway station living quarters in MOZART, SK, which is very close to Wynyard. Her Dad was the stationmaster there (1925)
We used to live in the Lynn Valley area of North Vancouver but sold our house after 20 years & are renting in central Lonsdale while we look for a new house. Alan drives bus for Translink/Coast Mountain Bus & I work at North Shore Credit Union. Both of us started our current jobs in 1979. That sounds so sad!! LOL
In Spring 2006 we took a trip to Europe. Managed to visit Amsterdam, Malta, Germany, Denmark & some of England.
We'd love to hear from old ... I mean long-time friends. LOL
