Life
Wow! Is there life after H.S.?! Too funny! No, I didn't drop out (!) actually did my Jr. and Sr. years through BYU Ind. Studies receiving a Diploma from / Thru Orem High in 1984.
I married Walter Guess in the Dallas TX Temple on New Years Eve of 1998. We live in a cozy cabin in the woods on 8 1/2 acres in N. Texas with our adopted child, Garrett, who is 5, our four dogs, ducks, geese, several horses, sheep and longhorn cattle. We will have a small family. I had a 10+ year career in Entertainment as a publicist and journalist...primarily the music business that spanned from Los Angeles to Nashville. I worked predominently for the rock group Bon Jovi and had a column in the Natl Magazine "RIP". When I retired from "Life In The Fast Lane" to settle down I moved to TX, near folks, where I became a "Professional Organizer" (From homes to offices etc...) and currently work from home as I feel like it ;-) I am a Realtor and we also tinker with a few rental properties! I enjoyed competing as a barrel racer in Professional Women's Rodeo but have now retired due to 3 back...Expand for more
surgeries that kept me in bed for almost 2 years just after my marriage...(Ugh!) I also enjoy competing in Ballroom and C/W Dance. We hope to move back to the mountains someday as I am a mountain FREAK but the deal was if I agreed to stay in TX for at least 10 years then we'de move and retire in the mountains. OK, I give! Actually, as far as TX goes we live in a really pretty woodsy area. To keep life interesting Walter and I are both involved in Great Dane Rescue and I enjoy working with those overcoming addictions of all sorts after enjoying almost 21 years of sobriety from alcoholism. I am heading the start up of a local chapter of "Heart-t-Heart", the LDS 12-step recovery group, in the N. Texas area. Walter and I are active in our rapidly growing rural ward. Life sure isn't boring.... :O)
