Sharie's Story
Life
After graduation from RHS I attended the Univeristy of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In May 1997 I received a BA in Sociology and African Studies. I worked for 6 months in Miami with Cuban and Haitian refugees then in Tanzania for 6 months with Burundian refugees. Moved to Washington, DC where I worked for KPMG for a year. he Admin Officer and then a year and a half in Mozambique as Country Representative. Then back to DC for 3 years as Assistant Regional Director for Southern Africa with Africare. Once Katrina struck I focused my attention on the largest international disaster at the time and moved to Lafayette, LA. From there came to Miami where I am now working for Global Impact in corporate social responsibility. Training for the half marathon again and just enjoying life!
