Sharon's Story
Life
My Spouse
We will be celebrating 20 years of marriage in January 2008! Each year has revealed different facets of our relationship and we are growing old gracefully together!
My Kid
Cyan attends Lowell High School (lottery based) and is doing wonderfully. Her high school excels academically (National Blue Ribbon school and ranked #5 nationally for it's AP class offerings and kids who pass them) with a "mod" system, that I remember at another high school many years ago... Unlike the experience at Kailua High the mod system works very well for Lowell which is highly college prep. She continues to take hula from Patrick Makauakane and she is also a taiko drummer studying with Sensei Melody Takata at Gen Taiko based in Japantown San Franci...Expand for more
sco. She recently performed in the 10th Annual Gen Taiko Concert at the Yerba Buena Arts Forum Theatre. One of the pieces she was in called Hachijo required her to drum in full kimono! Quite a challenge. HPU is in her sights for future educational pursuits so I may just follow her home!
My Job
After 20 years working with a pediatrician I switched gears in 2001 and started working in the family business. My husband and I own a prop design and fabrication company. Our studio/warehouse is located in Jack London Square, Oakland. We design, fabricate and install props and decor for theme parties, video, theatre and corporate events. Check out our website at Curtisproductions.com It's fun to work in this field because it's always a party!
