Sharon's Story
Wonderfully retired. Retired as CEO of The Cedars, a retirement community in McPherson, Kansas on May 31, 2008. Perry and I live in rural Hutchinson, just 7 miles from our son Matt and Trissa and two sons, Cale (8) and Mace (5). Eric and Daphne live in Boulder, Co. with sons Jackson (12) and Nick (9). Perry sings in the church choir and I play the organ at the Little River U.M. church, where we raised our boys. Perry is Asst. lace in Hiwaii). The biggest blessing of the past year is reconnecting with Debi Kauffman Page and her friends. We have had three fabulous gatherings, including a retirement celebration for a McPherson friend just this part April---our theme was Mama Mia, our drink of choice was a New Age white wine, and important pasttime was eating and laughing---great for the soul! Both of our mothers are still living, however, Perry's Dad died in l982, and my Dad died on Veteran's Day of 2006.
It surely reminds us that life is short, and we should enjoy it to the fullest.
