Sharon's Story
Went to college, but didn't have my heart in it, I guess. Stopped school and worked for a few years, went back to school and still didn't have my direction. Had my first stroke at age 25. Worked for a long time, met my dh, who is actually from Scotia - just 4 years ahead of us. Got married, had 1 beautiful daughter, and got busy with life. Also got more disabled by further strokes. Ran the Scotia site of a food co-op for 9 1/2 years as a volunteer - it was once a month.

37 and did it right this time - earned 2 AAS degrees in 3 years. Realized I love school, wish I had the $$$ to keep going.
Went on 5-week cross-country road trip that showed me that the southwest is where I need to be; feel so much better there. Hoping to move there early 2011.
Now I do fine photography, jewelry-making and just started quilting. Hoping to add to family income with those.
At the moment we have a cat and a rabbit - hoping to find another compatible rabbit and perhaps some canaries.
