Sharon's Story
Life
I live in Livonia now, having moved back here from Florida in 2004. Was married to my husband Joe for almost 5 years, before he passed away in July of 2001. He and I were together for 15 years before we married, he said that I finally slowed down enough for him to catch me. I have redone done my kitchen, one bedroom, bathroom, and the office bedroom. I like to garage sale, work in my gardens and flower beds, when the weather is warmer. I have lots of other hobbies, and love to travel when time permits.
I have two dogs, Kahla she is the Brittany Spaniel and Sally Short Legs and she is the Bassette Hound we found at the pound down in Florida.
I was the President of the Livonia Amateur Radio Club for three years, gave it up on the suggestion of my doctors. Had some medical issues that, were serious and could not devoted my time like I was.

until she passed. I worked for an elevator company, and I also worked for a company that made induction heating. Then I worked for a company that was government funded, and that job was never boring. I loved going to work, because every day was different. We were called the Private Industry Corp, then they changed the name to the Job Connection. Today it's called Michigan Works, that help people find jobs. At the time I was there, we did find job and good one too. Or we would send people to school, or we would train them in classes for computers, or brush up on your math and reading skills. I was hired in as someone to answer the phones, I was working for Kelly Services at the time. Was only supposed to be there two weeks, and they asked me if I would like to stay and I said yes. So after almost a year, they bought out my contract and I became a full time worked for the PIC. Then after about another year, I got a promotion to secretary to one of the Units. I moved all around from Livonia, to Dearborn, back to Livonia, back to Dearborn then to Wayne. I wore many hats with the company, from Phones, to Secretary, to Office Manager to Secretary to answering Phones again. Then the bottom dropped out, we lost all of our funding and 88 people were out of jobs.
