Sharon's Story
I attended Holmes Elementary School in Wheaton, I’ll and spent most of my time with special friends like Ruth K. and also Kathy B. who later moved away but we reconnected several years ago thanks to the internet. There were also many wonderful memories playing with my neighbor friends. I went on to Franklin Jr. High in Wheaton where not much happened except my best friend Ruth moved away and I lost touch with her. After attending Wheaton North High school for one year, my family was transferred to Dallas, TX where I graduated from Thomas Jefferson HS. After traveling to Albuquerque to live with a friend's family and then to Galveston, and attending several colleges in between, I finally graduated from University Of Texas at Dallas with the first undergraduate class of 1977 with a BS in Business and Public Administration in Management and Behavioral Sciences. nd a son. Both graduated from Texas A&M and my daughter is now married. I worked as an administrative assistant for a major bank, became a forms designer for a major insurance company and then became a stay at home mom for 11 years. During that time I helped open a local preschool learning center and fell in love with teaching young children. I became a certified special education and Pre-K elementary school teacher in 1997 and taught in Crandall, Tx for 10 years teaching PPCD/ESL pre-K, 3rd grade and 7/8th grade Emotional disturbed students. I transferred to Frisco, TX when my principal invited me to move there with her to open a new school. I taught kindergarten and loved it before retiring and taking care of my grandson for 3.5 years during the day. My granddaughter arrived and my daughter moved so I became a Starbucks Barista before joining my husband in fullItime retirement-which is my favorite job so far!!!
