Speaking of Partridge Family 🐦🐦🐦🐦🐦 There is a FB page on David Cassidy. There are women who grew up with Tiger Beat 🐯🥁 who still have the most alarming crush on him. They are mad about him 😱 I know of these crazes. I had a thing for Fabio once. Well, he was on my Harlequin books 😁 Tommy got me his calendar 📆 But I was pushed right over the edge when I first saw Jean Claude Van Damme. It was some karate movie. 🤼 I was so hooked 🎣 I got his poster, watched those terrible karate movies. I bought his wife's exercise book. She was a body builder, too 🏋️‍♀️ I did her exercises. I tried to do my makeup like hers 💄 I bought a ring and had it inscribed rvd. I think. For Rassberry Van Damme. It was a last gasp Tiger Beat madness. I liked his looks, his accent, his karate kicks. I tried to dream of him. But very occasionally when I would, he would not be nice. Tommy likes to remind me of this madness. I always deny it 😁 It was silly 🙃 But I do know what those David Cassidy fans are going thru. I think Jean Claude would've been happy tho. He liked fans. I'm happy to report I have no more idols. But if they could've made Clint Walker as Jack Reacher. That guy was really handsome 🤔 4/16/23. Taxes are in the bag. The weather's sweetening up 🍭 but still nutsy cuckoo 🤪 Drastic day to day changes. I was about to put my trapper hats away 🦫 then had to wear it, plus a heavy 50# denim jac. Today I ran a little. I think my 🏃🏼‍♀️ season has begun. I'm going to start slow in the backyard. 15 min even. Then each week go up 5 min till I can do an hour. We walk about 2 hrs. But slogging more strenuous. And I've lost my Muse. I used to read the antics of this crazy woman ultra runner. Her idea of fun was 100 mile races. I liked she would go out in all kinds of weather 🌪️ She also exclusively wore these cute skirt or skort things. Like tennis outfits. But, darn it, she fizzled out 🚫🍾 It just wasn't sustainable. She got injured and just hasn't bounced back 🦘 Now she likes to post about Sharknado movies 🦈 I used to do the Dr Cooper aerobics plan in the '70s and early '80s. When I sprained my ankle, which I did with distressing frequency, I'd switch to 🚴‍♀️ You press down with the good leg, the sore one goes along for the ride, and you get your points. I saw this gal effortlessly ride her unicycle. I told her how inspiring it was to watch her ride. She said it just took time in the saddle. She wasn't wearing a helmet 🐢 And she was drinking a latte to boot 👢 We see a lot of runners. Walkers too, of course. And cyclists. The sidewalks are still bad. Arnold 🏋️ even had to pave his pothole. I saw a TMobile commercial with John Travolta doing a Grease schtick. That was fun 🕺 Then there's this uber fit guy who does handstands on his 🛹 And other activities. He's maybe late 40s or early 50s. He put a pic of himself at 8 doing the handstand on skateboard too. So he was able to keep it up. I saw this older guy doing awkward dance steps then suddenly gyrating on floor and doing breakdance moves. This guy was spinning on his head like a ballerina. So, obviously this guy used to breakdance. It was very inspiring. I've been listening to country music 🎸There are 2nd generation singers now. Like Conway Twitty 🐦 has a son that sings. Some resemble the dad or sound like them. I like Marty Robbin's songs. His son, Ronny, sounds just like him. And Merle Haggard has a bunch of sons that sing. I'm listening and reading a bunch of stuff. Fried Green Tomatoes 🚫🔴 at the Whistle Stop Cafe by Fannie Flagg 🇺🇸 Agatha Christie. Death of an Ice Cream Scooper. Die Trying by Lee Child. Journey to Munich by Jacqueline Winspear. Found another book at a lil library today. 7/22/23 Getting lots of hot days here ☀️ Tommy's buying his beloved 🍉 It's my job to cut them up. He BBQ d salmon the other day. That's one thing I've never done. I don't BBQ and I never cooked fish. Fish is Tommy's forte 🏕️ I finished all the Maisie Dobbs 👂🏻books the library had 🔍 They don't carry the last few, darn it. I found a great place to 🛴 Tommy had been dropping hints when would we ever start. It was the sun's glare 🕶️, the terrible pot holed sidewalk. It also didn't warm up till June 🧥 By accident I found some wonderful polished cement to roll on 🛴 I'm also thinking of bringing those evil skates 😈 I fell on and scraping the slick wheels on some rough street. They roll like you're on glass. I also never learned how to stop on skates. With my old steel wheels they barely moved. You didn't need to learn how to stop. These have those toe stops. Did my first 🏃🏼‍♀️ other day. I'm so behind this year 🤷🏼‍♀️ 9/20/23 We're getting the smoke smell 🙊 from the fires up north. 🔥 Oddly, SF is even worse. In the purple range 🟪 Oh, this site really messing with my pics 🤨 First, they jumbled the ones I had in albums. I had put them in a particular order. Then they removed my current pics on the front and started haphazardly dumping old pics on it. They have some nerve using my pics to their advantage. I'm hoping they cut it out soon ✂️ I've started 👂to the Stephanie Plum series. I'm👂 in order. She's a bounty hunter. They have Lori Petty narrate, at least in the beginning. Starting to see some Halloween decorations 🎃 4/2/24 Spring 🦘 seems to have come to our faire city 🎡 It's about time to dust off the 🛴 🛴 and my running shoes 👟👟 When pavement is wet, the 🛴 makes this terrible gritty sound and the brake probably doesn't work 🚫🛑 There was ⚡ and driving 🌧️ the other day. Yes, I saw the 🌧️ careening down the street in a Tesla 🔌🚙 It was magnificent. I went to the door to watch. There was a scene with Paulette Goddard, who was married to the Penguin 🐧 She was standing at the window watching a wild storm, with a crazed look on her face exclaiming, Isn't it exciting 🥳 I'm 👂 to a Carpenter's concert in Japan 🥢 in 1974. They're great, as usual. She's my fav singer, hands down. Their last song she sings partly in Japanese. That was surprising. I understood parts of it. It's like how Lucy 👩‍🦰 learned Spanish on her show. The pen is on the desk. Where is the train station? Lessons don't include song lyrics. When my cousin from Japan visited long ago 🦕, he sang a song in English tho he couldn't speak it. Member the Sukiyaki song? The song had nothing to do with sukiyaki, but that was one of the few Japanese words folks knew. She's wearing a custom pant suit with Raggedy Ann and Andy 👩‍🌾 One reason I like Karen's singing is her enunciation is so clear. It's a joy to hear 💃
