Sharon's Story
Life
Hi To Everyone: I grew up in an area that was called Brightwood, a very nice community back then. (My best friend and next door neighbor growing up there was Connie Barnett and she is still to this day a dear and special friend to me after all these years and always will be. She moved to another school district and didn't end up going to Tech. But that didnt keep us apart. We still keep in touch after all these years.)
I lived on Adams Street and I attended School 51, from Kg. thru 8th grade. I then started at Tech in the fall of 1969. I really enjoyed my 4 years at Tech, it was a great school. I belonged to a girls club called Chatz and made alot of friends and had alot of good times. Matter of fact by belonging to Chatz is how I eventually met my husba...Expand for more
nd. (My best friend thru out high school was Reta Corlett, who is still a dear and special friend. We also still keep in touch today. She graduated in 1972).
I got married soon after graduating and have done different jobs over the years. I have a wonderful husband of 46 years and we have two children, a son and a daughter. Of course the kids are grown now. We have one grandson age 13. It just seems that the years have went by so quick. I have only attended one class reunion which was my 25th which was held at the Omni downtown, in August of 1998. It was really nice to talk to and be with old classmates. I would like to hear from any old classmates and any of my old club sisters. It's nice to go back and remember about the good old days. Thanks Sharon
