Sharon's Story
Life
I married before finishing High School. We lived in various small towns in Southern Arizona for the first few years as well as living in Coolidge. We moved to Phoenix in the fall of 1959 and have been in the Phoenix Metropolitan area ever since. I had 7 children. 3 sons and 4 daughters. I spent the first years raising my kids. Later I started working part time and going back to school.I did get my H.S. degree. I've completed several graduate courses. I was in the retail industry for several years in various management and bu6ying positions and then started my own business as a mfg. sales rep for 17 years. I now work for an agricultural related company as their advertising manager and sales support. I also have a small horse breeding business on the side.
This year Bud and I celebrated our 50th Wedding Anniversary! The kids gave us a beautiful party and invited many old friends including a few Coolidge High School chums. Pat Bell (Gill) and Gloria Barnes (Moore) were at the party. Those 2 girls went with Bud and me when we were married. Isn't that something!

Here we are 5 years later.WOW! The time sure flies by in a hurry! I'm still working. I would go crazy being at home 24/7. Still raising grandsons. My youngest daughter got married 2 weeks ago in a beautifiul church wedding. Great party, too!! I must say we always have great parties.
Last fall a school chum of mine from St.John and St. James contacted me through Classmates. I was so thrilled to hear from her. Hi Eugenia if you are reading this.
I do think I will slow down somewhat soon. I am looking to sell most of my horses. It's just too much for us anymore. Bud is not in good health and I don't have the strength I used to have. I will keep a couple simply because I have had them so long and they can retire with me.
Bud passed away September 30th 2015. I kept busy doing some traveling visiting relatives here there and everywhere. My son and I went to Italy and Sicily in 2016 visiting my granddaughter for a couple weeks. We spent a few days in Rome sightseeing and also seeing the Pope. My son had never been overseas so it was quite a treat for him. My daughter and I sold the property early 2018 and moved in to Goodyear. 2 weeks later we were on board a flight to Scotland and Ireland with my grand daughter and my sister Barbara We had done some genealogy work and were visiting family...Expand for more
sites in Scotland.. It was quite a thrill. Retraced our family back to 1489. I love Scotland. We spent a week there and then flew to Ireland for a week What a fabulous time. Then home for break and to finish moving in to our new home for the summer. In September we went away for a family get together with my oldest daughter and her children. to Hawaii. After that I went to visit my son in NW ARKANSAS tripfor2 weeks. We try and travel cross country at least a couple of times a year. Back home to Saint Louis or to Northwest Arkansas . Was getting ready to travel again thos Spring 1when all this pandemonium hit so I've been stuck here in town. Looking forward to the fall for travels. I have a severe case of macular degeneration so my eyesight is very poor now and my sister Barbara travels with me most everywhere I go. Some of you know Barbara she went to school in cool I just well graduated from Coolidge high school. Barber lives in Redlands California right now but is looking to move back to Arizona to be close to her family. I think I'm pretty well caught up now. Would love to hear from some of my old school chums. But and I also traveled a lot. My grandmother would call me a gypsy I guess I love traveling.

I was just reading the new additional parts I posted on my profile. I should have proof read this as I caught several errors. I do speak my texts and that's not always the greatest thing to do. Lol. Please anu grammatical errors.

My granddaughter plans on taking me to PragueMy granddaughter plans on taking me to Prague. Getting excited. I would also like to do another Scotland trip. Will have to see on that because I need to make another trip back home to Saint Louis. I guess I do have a lot of gypsy in me.
