Sharon's Story

I've notice that several have visited my profile but I don't recognized any of the names. Even if we were in the some classes together it would take reciting instances or things that happen with teachers or events for me to recall. I went to Brick Elementary and had a teacher that had the name of my sister Patricia and her sister was also named Sharon. Go figure. That was weird. I also remember my sister Patricia getting into a lot of daily trouble. Mostly I think taking up for me and sassing the teachers. She's was a good sister. Don't see her as often as I would like these days. We have hectic work schedules. Study hall with Ms. Bentley was always an adventure to see how much trouble Patricia and Glenda Costello were going to get into. There are 4 people that I remember vaguely that I would like to connect with, if for nothing else than to put the pieces of events in order in my mind. I was so focused on getting of out the South that I'm afraid I never gave anyone much thought. 1. Brenda Bowling - 4-7 years older than I, maybe more. 2. Daphne and Cathy Vaughn - grade school 3. Kathy Purcell - Went to 7th grade together. Had math teacher named "Mendenhall"? I think...Expand for more
her Dad may have been stationed at Fort Benning. 4. Had a guy class mate, same school 7th grade that I can't remember his name but I laughed at him a lot - he was too funny. We both arrived late one day for Art class, I think, and we got our hands rulered hard after running out of breath across the field from another class to make it to that class. Don't remember being in that class after that, nor seeing the teacher anymore. I think my dad had something to do with it. Not sure what my classmate's parents did. Today, I am a happily married, not so republician any more, with one grown son age 30, a full bodied career in organized real estate management, (No, I am not a real estate agent). I have enjoyed two trendy businesses as a sideline hobby over the last 20 plus years. The later is making custom cottage industry jewerly pieces by request or invitatation which has been one of my passions. Still enjoy beading to this day. Someday when I retire I think I should like to develop my jewerly business further. My wonderful husband is soon to be a retired Navy Chief so I am in the process of developing many home projects for him and I to enjoy together. We are both very creative.
