I attended Claflin grade school starting with the 3rd grade. My Dad was in the oil business so we didn't ever stay too long in one spot. I attended school in Claflin through my freshman year, and then we moved to Kiefer, Oklahoma. I had two brothers, one of whom died of a brain tumor when I was 12 (services were held there in Kiefer)and David, who was 3 years younger than me. I also had a sister named Barbara who was 4 years younger than me. We all attended Claflin schools until 1969 when my dad was transferred to Oklahoma. I have been living in Oklahoma since that time. The rest of my family moved to Texas where they now reside with their families. My Dad passed away in June of 2003 and my mother passed away in Ft. Worth, TX in 2009.
