Sharon's Story

10/23/08 I finally went back to college in August of 2006 and completed my AAS degree in December 2007. My Dad passed away in July of 2007 and it was difficult to complete my schooling during that time, but I did it and I'm very proud of that accomplishment. My girls are now 9 an 10 years old. Lauren still loves horses and purchased her own colt in the Spring of 2007. Her grandpa got to see pictures of it before his death and he thought it looked like "a pretty good horse". Amber is writing her own plays now and performing them with the neighborhood kids. She is keeping us all entertained with her imagination. We are still living in Hopkins in our same house. We remodeled the bathroom this summer and still hope to add on to the house some day before the girls...Expand for more
are teenagers and can't stand to share a room anymore. My Mom came back to Circle Pines after my Dad passed away and is living in a senior apartment there. She is about 2 blocks from Centennial High School. It is very nice having her back in MN. I had a great job in the medical records department of a clinic, but as the economy continued to go downhill this year, I was laid off in July. I am at home now, but searching for a job and hoping that the economy will take an upturn soon. I've been married for 13 years to Chris who is the technical director for a private school. I make costumes for some of the plays and have kept my hand in theatre that way. I've not done live theatre since 1996 and I do miss it, but life has a way of getting busy. Life is good.
