Sharon's Story
Married had 4 children, owned my own business and 15 years after graduation went back to school. Took me years to complete my degree, but was very involved in all my children's schools. Little League, and Girl Scouts. PTA Pres. Board member of LL and Girl Scout Leader, also Association Chairman, after being Cookie and Calendar Chairman, Girl Scout House Chairman. While working everyday, and going to school nights and weekends.
Finally retired and moved to TX. It's been nice not having to do anything at a specific time daily, and having our grand kids on a fun time basis. I raised our first 4.
It's been great and my husband of almost 50 years is a CSM Army Ret . He had his busy times with them, and wishes he was still able to be active duty .He was also President ot the Association of the United States Army for 2 years. Once a Service Man, always one...He is still involved. I worked for a Home Health Care Service, and then volunteered for Hospice.
Our two sons still live in Cali, our oldest daughter lives in SC and Missy is here with us.(we moved here to be with them) we have 10 grand kids.... Love our life, always have, eve...Expand for more
n when it was the most hectic!
In June of 2014 we celebrated our 50th. Wedding Anniversary, in Calif. Our children had a party for us at the North Woods Inn; with family and friends. We were able to spend time with our sons and families. while there we were able to see our youngest son's new home he had build in Oceanside. We stayed there on the beach in a rental house .We were there for 10 days, which only seemed like ? time went so quickly. We had tons of things to do and spending time with the twins who are 9 and their bro. who will be 20 was the best thing. These are our youngest grand babies. Guess we'll have to wait for Great Grand babies now! Tori is going to grad school, our youngest daughters child, and the boys are 13 & 15. Just had to add the up-date on ages, cause B just got his drivers permit...it's July 2015 now .I'm recovering from back surgery ,otherwise things are great, except it's way to hot!
I have truly been blessed these past 50 years....but still can't figure out where they've gone.........What's even more interesting is I've been graduated from Cleveland for 58 years. (should I feel old?) Nope......
