Sharon's Story
Life
One husband, one daughter, one dog, one show horse, of coarse.
Look for us showing on the AQHA circuit, that's where we are all summer.
Life is great here in 'burbs of Philadelphia (more like Wilmington, Delaware)!
Sorry I missed the reunion, it was the in-laws' turn for Thanksgiving. It's always the in-laws' turn, it seems or my turn here.
College
Montoursville HS 1979

Villanova University, Master of Science, Chemistry 1993
Workplace
The first years of my career, I worked as a lab technician; and environmental chemist then decided to go back for my Master's degree. I got that and haven't worked outside my basement since! I have a great position with a peer-review publication called the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry. I'm able to be at home with flexible hours.
Scratch that it's now July 2009...I'm out of the basement now and back in the rat race. I'm working in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I ride the infamous SEPTA to work ...Expand for more
everyday. Now I review chemical physics papers where the theoretical math and laser technology is unconceivable! Love it though. Did I mention my office was last inhabited by the late great, Dr. Alan MacDiarmid, 2000 Nobel Laureate in Chemistry? (He has a wiki).
My daughter is now in college at American U in DC in the School of International Service. Dog died, had to sell the horse b/c I'm away from the house 11 hours a day.
My husband is part-owner of a engineering firm designing and building pharma and biotech facilities.
My brothers are fine, both still in USAF and ANG respectively, youngest just back from Afghanistan. Other bro has a farm and day job too. My sister is still a teacher in Loyalsock. My parents are great, enjoying retirement at Briarlea Farm.
I'm really into genealogy and find that I'm related to half of Montoursville. Check out my website to see if you're related to me by typing in the 3 w's and briarleafarm dot com.
I'd love to hear from anyone who will write...no I'm not really that bored, do I seem bored?
