Sharon's Story
I am happily married to Al Frank, an '82 SP grad. We live in Deerfield, WI on a wonderful farmette. We do not have our own children, but we share the farm with Al's brother, his wife and their 2 sons--6 and 4 years old. The farm is a ton of work, and we love it! We are novice farmers, with 4 laying hens, 10 baby chicks, and 13 barn cats. A few piglets may arrive this spring.
I graduated in May '06 from Lakeland College...finally! I've been in human resources since the early 1980s, and it's where I belong. Since May '06, I have worked for a staffing company, Spherion, in Madis...Expand for more
on. I worked for Rayovac for 22.5 years before taking a 2.5 year hiatus to finish my degree.
Al & I spend lots of time with our families, and we are blessed to have them close by -- everyone within 45 minutes. We have 16 nieces and nephews ranging in age from 22 to 4. I enjoy spoiling them all!! :)
When we're not working or "farming," we enjoy driving around in our vintage autos. I love to quilt as well. Al is an avid bicyclist and a 3-time Ironman finisher. I have allowed myself to get sucked in to the biking aspect of it just a bit, and we enjoy that as well.
