Sharon's Story

Life I live in Nazareth, having moved here in 2000 with my husband, Jim, and 5 cats. I graduated from East Stroudsburg University in 1969 and taught elementary school for 20 years, 'retiring' in 1989. I have been a quilter since the early 1970's and opened a quilt shop in 2004. I have since sold the quilt store but continue to teach quilting in the Nazareth area on Mondays, give lectures on various quilting topics and design quilting patterns under my business called Timely Stitches. ing in clocks, and we also collect art by local artists. Jim enjoys running in local 10 milers or 5 and 10K's and has done at least a dozen marathons, including Boston 5 times. He retired from teaching physical education in Pohatcong Township, New Jersey, in 1991. He is from Bangor, PA and we met in college. He served in the Marine Corps for four years prior to attending East Stroudsburg University and graduating in 1970. We have been married since 1969. I also love taking art classes and biking the many trails in the area.

I made this pillow for my great great niece, Rylee (my sister Kate's great granddaughter). Her grandmother passed away and her mother thought this might comfort her to have a pillow to hug with her photo on it.
