Sharon's Story
Life
I live in Shelbyville. I have three grown children -- Gary, Christi, and Jennifer, two sons-in-law -- Rickie and Chris, and one granddaughter -- Kerigan. My youngest daughter is pregnant with quads (yes four) she will probably deliver in May. I divorced Kenny in 1992 after 21 years of marriage, I married Steve in 1997. I have a chihuahua named Annie.
My dad, who has a home in Alabama, lives with Steve and I about half of the time. I make so many trips to Alabama that if I head south on I65 my car goes into auto pilot.
School
I suppose Kenny was my biggest crush since I later married him. I liked all of our teachers, but can't really say than any of them inspired me to do "bigger and better" things. If I could do some things over, I would have had more fun. I have good memories of...Expand for more

College
I did not go to college right after high school. I worked for a couple of years and then got married. I am now in school (at my age, how crazy is that?) at IVY Tech in the Associate of Nursing program. I will graduate as an RN in July of 2008.
I always wanted to be a nurse, and decided that it is never too late so here I am. I really enjoy school, but also work full time so life is hectic. I have had clinicals at Wishard, St. Vincent's and Methodist. I have seen some really interesting things!
Workplace
I have had some interesting jobs. Presently I work as the Director's Secretary at Blue River Career Programs (a secondary vocational school). I enjoy my job but now am ready to make the transition into nursing as soon as I finish school.
