Sharon's Story
Most of you might remember me as Sherry Stark, but my real name is Sharon Winters. My mother chad my name when she registered me for school, and I finally got my name back in 1963. In 1968 I married Mike Timmins (class of 1964), and divorced him in 1980. In 1982 I married Martin Martinez. We raised one child, T-Bone Martinez. ol for 1 year and worked in a law firm. I received my B.S. in psychology from ISU, and M.A. in humanities from the U. of Texas.
Martin works in cyber security for Intel, and we lived in Shanghai, China for 2 years. I own a pearl business, and buy pearls directly from Chinese pearl farmers. (I studied Chinese at Fudan University, Shanghai, China.) I recently completed a book about life in Shanghai: Cutted Chicken in Shanghai. It will be published in January 2014.
