Sharon's Story

Life A life bio? I think not! I haven't even reached the 50 year mark. My life is just beginning. So I'll give you a brief blip about me. I was born the second and (grins mischeviously) most beloved daughter on January 27, 1976. Yes, If you did the math, you know my age. I have always had one of those sunny dispositions. I general take life as I receive it, however I have been known to get in a fight our two with my sis. I attended 1st - 8th grade at Jesus is Lord Christian school, in Cheraw, SC. Great program! I do miss some of my teachers, but I was happy to leave. My naive self went to Marlboro County High school from 1990-1994. I was a little terrified of the high school experience my freshman year, (only had a class of 3 at my old school, then I had over 300 fellow freshman) but I soon found my nitch. Heather, Carol, Stacey, Stacey, and Jason, Jamie, and Corky all made me feel right at home. When I left MCHS, I went to Coastal Carolina University. There I majored in Early Childhood Education. CCU had a great program and the beach. I stayed there for four years. I managed to get my B.A. in early childhood, and party some too. I also feel in love....*sighs*. I miss that. After graduation, all starry eyed and ready to mold young minds, I started my first teaching position at Rains-Cetenary. They had a great faculty and I learned alot, but it was also difficult. They don't really prepare teachers for their first year of teaching. I left Rains, and started teaching the following year at BPS. It was nice until I got the possessed class. I lasted until April. Then I resigned and went off to be a governess. I loved that job, who wouldn't? I got to take care of my beautiful neices, cause their mom had to work, and their dad was at boot camp. I went with them when they moved to TN. That's when I worked at One of A Kind Cafe and Josten's Printing and Publishing Co. That wore me out quick. No sooner did I finish one job, then it was time to work at th...Expand for more
e other. I think I averaged 5 hours of sleep per week. After my stint in TN, I came back home to SC to help my grams. I started working at BPS again. On May 18, 2006 my gram's passed away. That was the hardest good bye I've ever had to say. She was the one person I could always turn to and who took me in when my parents split and went their own ways. The funeral was uplifting though and I was thankful that some of mine and my sisters high school friends were able to be there with us during this time. After the funeral I took a road trip. My mom and I drove to California in my little, black maxima (aka Emmaline). I passed through TN and Kansas. Stayed several days in Estes Park, Co. and one night in Grand City, Utah, before heading to my mom's place in Valley Center, Ca. The world is a beuatiful place, people! I think I cried every night and wished gram's could see the places I went to. Along the way, I know she was. I spent a month in Cali, before traveling back to SC going through texas, lousianna, mississpi and GA. I moved out of mine and gram's home. Tooo Depressing, and I have a cute little town home in Cheraw, SC. I plan on staying around the area for the rest of this year and maybe next before I move. Seriously thinking of moving to Colorado. Depends on which guy wins my heart right now. I am still teaching the Pre-k DD class and I really enjoy it. I Finally got my masters degree in the spring of 2007. In my spare time (holidays and summer) I travel. I can honestly say that there is very few states that I haven't been. As some of you know I spend most vacation days and some perronal days for traveling. Washington state is always beautiful, California is like being in the south without the humidity. However I must say NJ has it's appeal. I finally got to see the Statue of Liberty. Next time I want to go to NY. There are lots of architectual buildings that I want to see. Well that's it for now. When I turn 50 I'm sure I'll have more to say.
