Sharon's Story

Life Since HS I graduated from college with a BS in Chemical Engineering. I received an Army Officer commission and spent 3 years in Europe. Upon my return I left the active military, transitioned to the Army Reserves and settled in Georgia working in a pulp/paper mill as a engineer/manager. After 10 years I accepted a new opportunity with a beverage company in Florida. I've held many engineering and manufacturing positions, with most recently in Packaging Operations as a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt focusing on productivity improvements and cost reductions. Additionally I finished my master's...Expand for more
degree in mechanical engineering in 2003. I recently retired from military service after 21 years as an officer. My military service covers assignments in Georgia and Florida. I was called back to active duty to support Dessert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Both operations brought on great challenges and lots of rewards. I am proud to have served my country and protect our way of life. Too bad I have not been able to attend any reunions (maybe next time). I still think about the many friends from New Jersey. I hope all is well with everyone. Good health and best wishes to all!!
