Sharon's Story
I graduated in 1990 from Ohio Dominican College and worked in sales and marketing. In 1995, I married my husband, Bill, and shortly after we had 3 beautiful children; Andrew (16), Daniel (13) and Emily (11). Emily was born with Down Syndrome and it was a life changing event for our whole family. A very positive life changing event. As every parent of a child with a disability knows, you do everything you can to improve your child's life. and found out that I had a talent for working with children with disabilities. I now work as a Support Broker for the Perry County Board of DD helping disabled children find the appropriate services that they need to better their lives. This was never the path that I saw for myself in life, but it has been very satisfying. My daughter was a wonderful gift from God, as were my two handsome boys; both of whom are talented musicians and athletes. I live in a small town in Perry County and am blessed with a wonderful family and lots of wonderful friends. Visiting this web site brought back a lot of memories and I hope that all of my old friends from Wehrle are doing well.
