Sharon's Story
Life
After high school I went to Howard University for 2 years before transferring to Spelman College. You could say I did the black college circuit. I moved to NYC in 2000 to pursue a Masters in Education at City College. Currently I live in Englewood, NJ and teach in Harlem. Me teaching sounds crazy but it is true. s at Teachers College, Columbia University. In April 2007, I ran for a position on the local school board in Englewood and lost by 300 votes :-( but not bad for a first election.
