Shasta's Story

Life You know, this Classmates.com Q&A thing really sucks, you can only choose their answers and you can't fill in anything realistic. Oh well, such is life. So, with that said, here is who I am: In my spare time I'm a performer and I focus on character impersonations and sing live. I currently impersonate Pat Benatar, Joan Jett, Terri Clark, Gretchen Wilson, and Shania Twain. Money earned from performing goes to various charitable causes, I don't make any money off this talent. I love spending time with my wife, she's the best thing to ever happen to me. Yeah, no kidding, girls CAN marry girls contrary to popular belief! It's all about finding that one little loophole in the system! I don't care what anyone says or what kind of reputation it leaves me, I love my wife and I'm proud to be with her. She's my angel and I'd be lost without her. You can't help who you love and gender doesn't matter. I'd rather be happy in a same-sex marriage and have people look at me funny than to be unhappy and with a man just because that's what most people believe to be "correct". Sorry if you don't like it, but it's who I am and I'm not ashamed. Sometimes one's soul mate will appear in an unexpected package. I've accomplished many other things over the years, too many to...Expand for more
really list here. I have had several really fun careers and have obtained numerous hobbies. My life is rarely dull. I love to keep busy and enjoy doing things with friends. I always strive to be a better person and to always learn something new. My favorite thing in the world to do is to simply have fun, whatever that may be at that particular moment. Hope to hear from some of you. I don't attend class reunions, sorry. I feel the good ones out there will contact me if they wish, or will respond if I contact them first. The others, well, some of y'all really didn't trip my trigger so much in high school and I don't miss you a bit. To be honest and to the point, some of you were downright horrible to me back then. I hope life has gotten better for all of you. I really do. And to the rotten ones, I hope you have moved on to better things and put the nastiness behind. It would really suck to go thru life being that mean to people all the time. In conclusion, all I wanna say is to be true to yourself. Do the things in life that make your heart sing. Take time to smell the roses along the way. Learn a new talent......make a new friend.......turn a bad habit into a good one.....and just be yourself. Life's too short to work too hard constantly. --Shasta
