Shawn's Story
I finished school at Cowley County Community College and later Wichita State University and was working in the counseling field for a while before completing law school at Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas. I practiced law in il and gas regulation and then as civil counsel for local government for a decade also teaching at Washburn Scholl of Law in Topeka, Kansas as an adjunct professor. hip program and continue to teach and coach competition teams. I have served as President of my local neighborhood improvement association, on the Board member of the United Way of Greater Topeka and in recent years on the Board of the Topeka Civic Theater and Academy where I am currently vice-chairman. On an out of the ordinary note, I am a licensed foster care provider for sick kittens in Kansas and work with the local humane shelter to get them healthy and socialized to be adopted out.
