Shawn's Story
Life
I moved to Toronto at age 18 and have been here ever since. I went to school for a few years but dropped out because I was more interested in activism for progressive social change.
I've had a few career changes, from book and magazine editing and publishing to IT and systems administration. By day, I currently work in Systems for an international healthcare publisher called Elsevier.

other writings have appeared (or are forthcoming) in a variety of publications including The Globe and Mail, Xtra, Eye Weekly, Spacing, rabble.ca, Fab, Our Times, Fuse, Canadian Male, Rites, Lexicon, Gay Community News (Boston), Off Our Backs (Washington) and the PWA Coalition Newsline (New York). And I'm currently at work on Human Forces, a short-fiction collection.
I've been in a long term relationship for almost 11 years and my life in Toronto is a lot happier than it was back in Niagara Falls.
