Shawna's Story

My company (Coherent) is closing the site in Auburn,Ca.
So now I will be commuting to Santa Clara,Ca for awhile, until I find another job close to home.
The garden, a good book and a class of wine, or horse back back riding with my friend.
My hero and inspiration comes from my mom and God. My mom has been thru so much and still drives forward with purpose. God has helped my thru some very hard times and shown me there's always a door opening when I thought it was a dead end.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Terri Becker, because she was my best friend and we had so much in common..
First obsession is cats. I seem to have all of the neiborhood strays coming to my house and I feed them, get them fixed, and find them good homes. next a...Expand for more
re horses. They are a symbol of free spirit and strength that I can't get enough of in my hectic life.
New update as of 3/14/12: My daughter and her fiance' are expecting thier first child! I'm so happy that I will finally get to be a Grandma!! I will keep everyone posted on the gender when we find out.
Still working in Santa Clara and I love my job to much to think of working anywhere else, even if I have to drive miles and miles to work.
Some sad news to end this update. My mom lost her battle with cancer and passed away in Nov. of 2009. i miss her everyday of my life. My father has Alzhiemers/Dementia and has been living with me since my mom passed away. He is getting worse by the month and I don't know how long he will be with us too. I just thanks God for everyday we have. god bless and have a great day...âÂÂ¥
