I came out to CA when I got married in 1972 to Jerry. Had 3 kids, 2 boys & girl. Tim, Dean & Paula Kay. Divorced that one. 5-6 yrs later thought Jerry & I should remarry. Did it, divorced it. (We are better friends than married people.) Was on my "own" with the kids for a long time. Worked several jobs as a single mom. Then, via God's help, got a really good position as a Data Entry Operator. (Hated it, but had kids to raise amd it was good money at the time.) Then, I found my "niche" working in the Superior Court of Stanislaus County, Modesto California. Then I moved over to the District Attorneys' for a few. I located "deadbeat parents" for non-pyment of child support. The most of them were locked up in prisons across CA or homeless, or just not traceable. It was "fun" catching the ones I did find. My motto is, "You play, you pay!" Or for goodness sakes, at least visit a drugstore or go to planned parenthood.Worked my way up to the highest grade in my position in less than 5 years. I held 3 titles. "Legal IV, Court Monitor and Locator." (Without a brown nose OR calloused knees.) Married Preston in 1993. Lasted a few months. I have NO clue as to why I married him? I think I was in a fog and was mesmerized with his gorgeous Harley Davidson. Go figure. ~ Divorced him.~ Now I am with my current husband, Roger. We have been together on and off since Paula was 4 yrs old. She is now 32 yrs old. However,we didn't get married until 1996. Long, long story there.
