Sheila's Story
It's funny that I write for a living, but when it comes to writing about myself, I have a pretty hard time...
Under interests, yoga would be at the top of my list - but I didn't find it as an option. I've been practicing yoga pretty seriously now for about 15 years, but actually had my first exposure to it in Ann Arbor, during my senior year. I certainly would not have been thought of as an athlete in high school - so it has been nice to find something that agrees with me - and that embodies things I agree with (non violence, serenity, grace) as well. pe to get fully certified as a yoga teacher, but am not sure I'll get around to it! Currently, I'm certified to teach beginners only.
I've lived in DC now a combined 35 years...it's funny that I only lived in Ann Arbor a total of 12 years of my life. I guess since they were such important years, they made more of an impact on me, and I think my time spent there made me a better person.
I work for the Discovery Channel - or more specifically for Discovery Communications which owns 14 channels, including Discovery, Animal Planet and TLC. I primarily work for TLC.
