Sheila's Story
Life
I should have graduated from East Aurora in 1978. I was the first girl to take small engines and auto mechanics. I mostly was by my self I was also was on the Bowling team while I was there. But as things would have it I had to move to another school in the middle of my junior year. I use to date David Houser when I went to East High. When I graduated from Sandwich High school I moved to El Paso Texas with the military. After completing my training I was sent to Korea to serve a year there. It was an experience I will never forget. I was married in 1980. Not long after my oldest daughter was born we were sent to Germany. We spent four years there and then returned home. Stationed in White Sands in New Mexico, I enjoyed the area so much that I have continued to live in the area. I could not think of a better place to live. g. I have my degree in Business and working to complete my graduate program. In my spare time, I coach Special Olympics'. I work with the track, swimming, and basketball teams. I am also working as a care giver for special needs adults. I have a very full and busy life and enjoy most of it.
My hero is all my special Needs athletes. they show so much strength and courage to do things others would say they could not do,
my biggest surprise in my life would be that I am a single parent of two great young women. I am an owner of property and take care of special needs and coach a swim team for a living. I always believed that I would be someone's wife and take care of a home and family. And that is far from what I am. I do all my own home repairs except for electrical I have not learned how to do that as of yet,
I am now a Minister and very happy. I volunteer with the Kairos Prison Ministry both inside and outside, I also volunteer with the local Celebrate Recovery Group. Love what I do.
