Life
Class of '81...what a world we live in now! Raised on country sunshine, I high tailed it to Myrtle Beach after graduating from SVCC. I joined the Army, got hurt, then went back to Myrtle Beach and worked as a police officer. I had the priviledge of "escorting" some of our classmates to someplace other than jail...(you know who you are...good times). I got married to a Marine in '85, moved to Connecticut, had a son in '88 and a daughter in '91. In '97, I was cleaning out old files and came across some jokes that I had written when I was 13. I got a wild hair, and started performing those jokes at comedy clubs in NYC. I starred death in the eye in '98 and I won! But only after massive amounts of chemo and radiation. So I continued as a stand up comedian and during the past decade I have been on raidio, television, performed in many comedy clubs and have the honor of entertaining our military throughout the world. I remarried in '05 and moved from Connecticut to Massachusetts. In 2009, I realized that in all of the work that I've done in the field of comedy, the most rewarding was in the veterans hospitals & nursing homes, so I put the power of knowledge in my corner, and became certified to work as a nursing assistant. Weither I'm on a stage telling jokes or lifting the spirits of the weak or recovering, I've realized that the most important thing in life is to live. Each day, each hour, each moment, live, without dwelling on the what if's or I can't's..just BE in the moment in which you are breathing.
