Life and Legacies
I've discovered a lot about myself, my life, my history is so strongly tied to a Legacy of Love shared by two sisters a generation ago. Their strength and determination to perserve their own legacy created a wonderful life full of love for their daughter ~ me. I've learned that love can, indeed, fly across the cultural stigmas and sustain beyond time.
I never knew my mothers had such a strong sisterly bond until many years after my birth mother passed away. Her sister, the mother who raised me, passed away ten long ye...Expand for more
ars ago, on September 16, 1998. Now they both rest in Heaven and continue to show me their love through the beauty that surrounds me and the miracles that cross my path every day.
Two women, who learned that their circumstances in life could not defeat them, continued the Legacy that the women in my family have built and stood upon for generations. With grace and dignity they passed that Legacy on to me and it is now my charge to pass it on to my three beautiful daughters. We are who we are because of who they were.....
