Shellcia's Story
Graduated with my first college degree in 2019 after switching majors and taking a year off. Originally I was in Journalism but I ended up switching to teaching. Specifically Early Childhood Education. I obtained my BA in Early Childhood Education from Humphreys University in 2022. I currently work in Sacramento as a substitute teacher. My ultimate goal is to open a non profit to provide families with resources for education, child care, mental health, etc.
My dream is to one day be on the US Board of Education as Director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans.
