Life Let's see where to start? My mom got promoted from grass roots level to national level as a director of fundraising for the Democratic National Committee when I moved away from Gladstone back in 1977. We did a 9 month stint in Wisconsin while she was being trained up for that job, then we relocated to Miami when she started that job. I spent the rest of high school and college years traveling the country with my mom and brother doing the "family portrait" thing for fund raisers. I went to Miami Dade Community College and got a degree in Dramatic Technical Direction. That earned me a scholarship for my bachelors at the North Carolina School of Performing Arts & also obtained a bachelors in Producing. Also during these years I started getting serious about my spiritual studies & obtained my clergy license for New Age religions. I also had a punk rock band that I was the leadman for. After NCSPA, I took my band on the road and we moved our headquarters to Boston. While there I took some workshop classes at Boston College and at the NYCU to expand my cinema and television certifications & degrees. I even got to do 2 summers workshops with Stanley Kubrick himself! Then my booking agent got my band an 18 month USO tour of the world & had a blast doing it. Got to travel & get paid for it, saw all of the great wonders & learned loads of what life is like outside the USA. Came home after that, got engaged to my Bass player & 4 months before the wedding found out I was pregnant. To make a long ugly story short, he freaked & abandoned me without a word 6 months pregnant & 4 days before a recording contract audition with RCA. Found a studio musician to learn his chops for the audition but RCA would only sign the original line up so there went my career, my income, my man & my future. Went home to Florida & had a baby boy. He's now 20 and on a full 4 year scholorship for computer science engineering at Oxford, I'm so proud of my little genius. A year after h...Expand for more
