Michele's Story
After graduation I moved to Arizona for four years. I got married there in 1976 and my son, Regan, was born in Tempe in 1979. Later that year I moved back to Michigan and in 1980 my daughter, Lindsay, was born in Eaton Rapids. I divorced in 1982 and remarried in 1983. In 1998 I had a stroke and had to learn EVERYTHING all over again. After about a year and a half of therapy, my husband left. My stroke was more than he had bargained for when we got married. rehab and got a business degree and worked as a support staff member at Lansing Community College for 13 years. I retired in 2018. I have shared an address with the same man for 21 years. My son lives about 5 miles away. My daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughters live in North Carolina. My grandson lives nearby and he and his fiancé just gave birth to my first great grandchild, Fallon, on Sept 10th. In 1998 I never would have believed that my life would be this full today. I am truly blessed.
