Sheri's Story

I don't know what prompted me to look back at this, but it's clear that it has been a while since I updated anything. My guess is that I last wrote the "story" in 2005. Since then I've changed a great deal in my life. My father passed away in 2005, I became involved in Equine Assisted Therapy in 2006, moved to Tucson from Flagstaff in 2008, started working for a hospice organization in 2009, and am now looking to get back to working with horses again. As with many of us, my next birthday will be the last in the 50's. I don't get back to Norfolk often, nor have I attended any of the reunions/activities, but I do enjoy getting emails from folks. Maybe I'll even hear from you.

I have three wonderful cats who all adopted me and each other. They have moved from Tennessee to Illinois to Arizona with me. Two were "senior citizens" who passed away and the third was a "teenager" who decided he would stay in the old neighborhood when I moved into a new home. I still have three wonderful felines, but they are very young, all under 2 years old. They are great with me and each other.
My Job
Every day is different when you work in a hospital. Every person I work with brings their own unique situation with them that impacts what needs they might have. And of course, each staff member (doctors, nurses, other professionals) also put their own spin on life--and death.
